About the team
1st track was on the Tramway Patch, Mitcham.
Team Founder/Manager: George Miles, 241 Middleton Road, Carshalton(1948-51).
Club Manager: R.L. Granger, 9 St Albans Grove, Carshalton(1951-52).
Club Manager: Charlie Read(1953).
2nd Track was on the Ex War Department Rubber Dump next to Mitcham Junction, just behind the Goat Public House.
Many of the riders went to Elmwood Secondary School, Hackbridge.
Raced in the Surrey Central League(Eastern Section) 1948/49, this becoming the Surrey & South West London League.
Raced in the Surrey & South West London League.
Raced in the Southern Premier League Div 1 1953.
Raced in the South London League 1955.
Many of the away meetings were reached via the use of a guards van, this taking both the bikes and riders.
Roy Maidment was the brother of Wimbledon Speedway rider Cyril Maidment.
George Miles, together with help from his father, was Secretary of the Surrey & SW London League.
