In 1949, Lew Grepp, along with his Northern counter-part Jack Pennington, were affectionately dubbed "the 'terrible twins' of the Manchester and District League". Lew's heavy scoring, both in league and test matches, made him a very formidable opponent. If ever there were to be a 'Great Britain' Test Team, then Lew's name would be high on the list of probables.
1951 Lew Grepp won the first National Senior Individual Final at Hayes, Middlesex(scoring a 15 point Max), runner up Malcolm Flood(13) Earlham, 3rd Bill Powell(13) Roseycombe.
