About the team

1st Track was in Stadium Car Park, Blackbird Road, Leicester.

Lost this in 1959 when the area became a building site.

Moved to Slater Street track, this being fully refurbished during the Winter of 1962/63, with a new safety fence, scorers and announcers box, plus full treatment to the track surface, all this for the 1963 season when the Monarchs rode in the British League

Affiliated to the British Cycle Speedway Federation.

Raced in the Leicester Independent League 1961.

Individual Honours.

1960 Harry Glover won the County Individual Championship in August.

Team Honours.

1952 Won the Leicester League Central.

1961 won the Leicester Independent League, runners up Mowmacre Magpies.
