1950 reached the final of the Benevolent Fund Cup, where they drew against Adderley Aces. The two teams shared the holding of the cup for six months apiece.
In 1950 the Rockets were beaten only three times out of 44 matches, winning 39 times, and drawing twice. They were undefeated at home, and also reached the Semi-Finals of the "News Chronicle" National team Championships. In the Semi-Final they travelled to Manchester to meet the Chorlton Aces, where they were narrowly beaten.
