About the team

Club was formed in 1979, but with no official track of their own, raced the first season at Davidsons Mains Track.

Their first track was in Gyle Playing Fields, with money raised for this venture by the sale of books. Planning Permission for the track was granted by Councillor Donald Gorrie.

The team was called Broomhall Panthers, and they raced from 1979 until 1985.

Raced in the new "Scottish and Tyneside League" 1980.

Team Colours were Orange & Gold.

Club Manager: Dave Young(Pete Youngs Father).

Individual Honours.

1981 John Murphy won the NEPS Express Trophy at Manchester. Runner-up was John Burston(Manchester), 3rd Stu Anthony(Annfield).
