About the team

1st track was on a disused tennis court in Kilchattan Drive, Glasgow 1966(Named the Kilchattan Knights).

2nd track was rear of Vogue Cinema(Bingo Hall), Cathcart Road, Glasgow 1966 - 1973 & 1975 - 1981?

Team were named after the local Fish-N-Chip shop that the boys used called the Kingsway, thus could have been the first unpaid sponsored team.

Track Surface was Red Blaes, and measured 90 yards.

Club Colours were first Dark Blue with a Red Trim and a White Shield with a Red "KK" in the centre. This was changed to White with a Silver Helmet and a Red Plume.

Raced in the Glasgow Spring League 1969.

Individual Honours.

1981 John Murphy won the NEPS Express Trophy in Manchester, runner-up was John Burston, 3rd was Stu Anthony.

Team Honours.

1969 Glasgow League Winners, runners-up Hampden Hawks.

1969 Runners-up in KO Cup, being beaten in the Final 58-50 by Hampden Hawks.

1972 Spring League Winners - League Winners - KO Cup Winners.
