About the team

Team Formed in 1978 as the Newcastle Tynesiders.

Changed name in 1979.

Track was in Eastfield Avenue, old Vikings venue.

1980 moved to the new Fawdon Track.

1982 moved back to Eastfields.

Raced in the newly formed "Scottish and Tyneside League" in 1979 & 1980.

1981 raced in the National League(came 8th). Also raced in 1982 in the National League.

Team Manager & PRO: Terry Kirkup.

Club Honours.

In 1986 a round of the Home Internationals was held at Eastfields, Newcastle.

The scores were: Scotland 49; England 47; Ireland 33; Wales 27.

Ceased racing in 1992.
