In 1951 the first British Senior Individual Final was held at the Hayes End Recreation Ground. The referee was Mr Bert McCloud(Lancashire). The winner was Lew Grepp(Cheadle Hulme-Cheshire) who scored a 15 point max, runner-up was Malcolm Flood(Earlham-Norfolk) after a run-off with Bill Powell(Roseycombe-Warks), both riders having scored 13 points.
